About Us

The Corps were established in 1984 as part of the Ceremonial Unit. It provides a different link between the fire service and the public. We adhere to the fire service core values and use music to spread community safety messages and also hope that our music is enjoyed by the many thousands that watch us each year. we are always looking for people that can play a military drum or bugle even if it's been a few years since you've played. Everyone is welcome.

Free Emergency Life Suport (ELS) Training

HeartStart UK is the scheme co-ordinated by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to teach members of the public skills to use in a life-threatening emergency.

The skills of emergency life support (ELS are simple and can save lives.ELS is the set of actions needed to keep someone alive until professional help arrives. They include

  • performing cardiopulmonary ressuscitation (CPR)
  • dealing with choking
  • serious bleeding
  • helping someone that may have had a heart attack
